I am not a republican. I am not a democrat. I am not a lot of things (categories) that several folks have thrown me into. I am a fiscal conservative.
I look at the waste, deceit, and lies coming from our capital(s) and am reminded of two things:
- I hate politicians. Not actual public servants. No. I despise political hacks of all persuasions. Those folks that are power hungry, deceitful, ego maniacs that go into politics to prosper in the corrupt, political cronyism of the “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” world. I find it interesting that so many folks are blinded by their party and only perceive the other side as the problem. Naive indeed.
- I am embarrassed by others that don’t look into the topics themselves. I’m not the smartest person on the planet, but I do investigate issues. I will download reports and study them. I want to know for myself what is in them. I do not simply listen to what the “talking heads” are spewing from so called media centers. Journalism has been dead for several years now. You can call it brainwashing. You can call it dumbing down of the masses (I’m leaning towards this one). You can call it an ignorant electorate. All-in-all it is a sad state of affairs for this Nation.
Hopefully this mess we called an election will be figured out. My opinion… Get rid of the Dominion voting machines. Too much ability to manipulate the elections. Our enemies have way too much input into the outcome(s) of our democratic republic.
